Since the beginning of the 50s, we were in a position to enlarge our know-how with the design and manufacture of optical instruments and measuring systems, with a level of precision that allowed us to begin a steady cooperation with National and International Metrology Institutes.In the following decade, our growing experience and the availability of better-equipped precision laboratories would allow for our entrance in the market for the design and manufacture of 2 and 3-dimensional measuring machines, developed to satisfy growing demands in the most diverse fields of industrial production.

The company offers measuring machines and systems based on different technologies, from contact probing to laser scanning and non-contact optical systems. Working with different solutions allows our technicians to start from the actual application in every case: the size and characteristics of the components, the required accuracy, the working environment, the available time and the way measurement needs to fit into the production process.
Fratelli Rotondi’s demo room is equipped with machines and instruments that can be used to carry out tests directly on the customer’s components, compare different technologies and determine which solution can deliver the most suitable results before choosing the measuring system.
These activities are now complemented by a further development in the company’s metrology services. The Fratelli Rotondi laboratory is an ACCREDIA-accredited calibration laboratory, in accordance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025, in the Length metrology area, for verification of the performance of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). Accreditation formally recognises the technical competence of the laboratory in carrying out the activities included within its scope of accreditation and enables it to provide customers with metrologically traceable results.
Fratelli Rotondi also continues its long-standing work in the manufacture and refinement of optical scales on glass and steel, as well as precision reticles, an area in which the company retains expertise developed since the earliest decades of its history.
