Since 1943

Fratelli Rotondi ® started operating in 1943, building mechanical control and measuring instruments such as granite plates, optical scales, prisms, square rulers and calibers. In the following years, evolution would push for greater and greater attention to quality and reliability for each of our products.

 

Since the beginning of the 50s, we were in a position to enlarge our know-how with the design and manufacture of optical instruments and measuring systems, with a level of precision that allowed us to begin a steady cooperation with National and International Metrology Institutes.In the following decade, our growing experience and the availability of better-equipped precision laboratories would allow for our entrance in the market for the design and manufacture of 2 and 3-dimensional measuring machines, developed to satisfy growing demands in the most diverse fields of industrial production.

'70 '90

In 70s and 90s

Years ranging from the 70s to the 90s would see constant development in the fields we dealt in: Rotondi machines were introduced to mechanical, electronic, aerospace and automotive industries, both on local and international markets. A direction which has been continuing successfully in the new millennium, with ever-increasing attention to the level of precision and reliability that the measuring tools built in our laboratories could guarantee. Further proof of this lies in our obtaining our ISO 9001 certification.

ENVIRONMENT

Such attention to the production and technological aspects of our work was always sided by intense attention to the environment and ecological issues. For this reason, with an important decision which the local press also decided to emphasize, in 2011 F.lli Rotondi installed  a photovoltaic system over the rooms of our manufacturing department, covering 40% of the energetic needs of our Company. A gesture reducing our environmental footprint, and marking our personal contribution to a better world for everyone.

TODAY

The company today works on continuous research and development with particular attention to traditional and un-traditional metrological sectors. Fratelli Rotondi today offers a wide range of machines and metrological instruments. The Company became credible thanks to the capability to support the customer in order to take the best solution for its own applications. With its technicians it is possible to analyze together all the available technologies; from contact probes to laser scanning. From structured light optical acquisition systems to special ones. The Fratelli Rotondi demo room is equipped with a large number of machines and measuring instruments where you can conduct tests and demos on every type of piece. This step is essential to guide the customer towards the right choice. The company also continues its development and improvement in the production of optical scales on glass and steel, as well as precision reticules.
